The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC) is holding a series of online conversations on tax and fiscal policy in today’s economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature varying perspectives on the historic economic challenges facing the United States and the world and the best ways to address them.

This week's guest is Daniel Hemel, a law professor at the University of Chicago specializing in taxation, administrative law, and federal courts. He'll discuss the cap on the state and local tax deduction and proposals for reform, as well as other tax policy changes currently being debated in Congress.
