Making Sense of Tax Legislation: What Happened and What’s Next
Body

The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, in collaboration with the Kellogg Public-Private Initiative of Evanston, Illinois, presents “@Issue: Making Sense of Tax Legislation: What Happened and What’s Next.”

TPC's Mark Mazur and Adam Looney will join Marc Sumerlin and Ben Harris in a conversation about the new tax law. The Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017 was a sweeping piece of legislation that dramatically changed the individual and corporate tax codes. Virtually every aspect of the economy was impacted, from multinational corporations to middle-class workers to the non-profit sector. Come hear nationally recognized tax policy experts—including senior officials from the Bush and Obama administrations—discuss implications for the U.S. economy and speculate on what’s next for tax policy.
